San Francisco BayThe Environment Program relates directly to the mission of the Foundation, which is echoed in the Environment Program's overarching goal "to promote environmentally sustainable practices and equitable development that guarantee livable communities and healthy environments." This Program has many natural intersections with other elements of the Foundation's work due to the multidisciplinary nature of environmental issues. Its principal unique contribution is to connect the human community we serve to the condition of the natural resource systems that impact and support all life.
