We invest in change, and we’re in it for the long run. In 2012, we granted out $89 million, made 5,565 grants, held 25 convenings, raised $75.5 million, and earned $1.9 million on our investments, all in service toward building a stronger Bay Area. We fund tried-and-true nonprofits, but we also seek out and seed new ideas that we identify as having the potential to break through seemingly intractable problems.
