Our Annual Report: Greater Impact Together
At The San Francisco Foundation, it’s all about change for the greater good. We invite you to check out our annual report, Greater Impact Together, to learn about all that we did, together with our generous donors and partners, to create lasting impact in 2011.
We believe that change happens through people, organizations, neighborhoods, and public policy. As the Bay Area’s community foundation, we take on the big issues of our time and we don’t take them on alone. Public education, jobs, housing, healthcare reform, and creating strong neighborhoods—we know we must work hand in hand with nonprofits, government, business, our partners in philanthropy, and our donors to build a better Bay Area for all.
Highlights from our report:
• We granted $82 million and 5,706 grants to the community
• We raised $57 million and earned $122 million on our investments
• We partnered with 460 donors, including individuals, trusts, and partners
• We held 22 convenings for leaders and organizations in the community
In the report, you will also find snapshots of our stories of impact in the community, a grants summary, and a list of our donor families. The complete online version includes our grants and financial statements, as well as our new video, also available below.
We look forward to all that we’ll do together in 2012.
