Education and Environment Multicultural Fellows Join the Foundation

Tara Genea Wilson and Jessica Buendia

The San Francisco Foundation is proud to welcome two new Multicultural Fellows, Environment Program Fellow Jessica Buendia and Education Program Fellow Tara Genea Wilson. Jessica and Tara are embarking on a two-year, dynamic hands-on leadership experience as part of the Foundation’s Multicultural Fellowship Program, which cultivates the next generation of community leaders that reflects the diversity of our region.

Jessica’s work in the public and nonprofit sectors ranges from working with Senator Loni Hancock and Newark’s Mayor Cory A. Booker, to a fellowship at the Greenlining Institute. She is a graduate of Macalester College in Minnesota and Princeton University.

A Bay Area native, Tara has worked on critical state policy issues affecting California’s most vulnerable children and families. She has also worked with several notable local organizations to enhance the educational opportunities for young people in the city’s underserved communities. She is a graduate of Mills College and University of California at Berkeley.
