The San Francisco Foundation is pleased to announce we are now accepting applications for our 2011-2012 Open Application Cycle. The last day to submit your application depends on your Program area:
Monday, November 7, 2011: Arts and Culture and Education
Monday, November 14, 2011: Community Development, Community Health, and Environment
In preparation to apply, please review the following resources:
- Program pages: Read each Program Area’s goal and objectives to see how your organization aligns with our priorities.

- Eligibility: Review updated information about eligibility on the Learn How to Apply page.
- How to Apply Workshops: Join us on October 5, 11, 17, 18, and 19, from 10-11:30am. Our workshops are designed to assist grantseekers with the application process and effective approaches to requesting support from The San Francisco Foundation. In addition, they are an opportunity to meet the Program teams. To sign up for a session focused on your Program Area, please visit our How to Apply Workshops page.
- Grantee Center: Log in to Grantee Center to complete and submit your online application.
Due to the Foundation's efforts to remain flexible to needs in the community, we opened the competitive grants process one month earlier this year. We are aware that current grantees with grants ending April 30, 2012 may have a one month overlap if funded in this cycle, with grants beginning April 1, 2012. You are eligible to apply.
If you have any questions, please contact our Program staff – access the complete list here.
