Show Me the Money: Talking about Taxes
A training on what we can do about the California budget crisis
The nonprofit sector in California, comprising over 160,000 organizations, is the second largest nonprofit workforce in the United States. With the budget crisis in California resulting in repeated funding cuts of crisis proportions, there is not enough money to do the work that communities count on nonprofits to do.
Please join The San Francisco Foundation’s Community Health Program on Thursday, September 30th for a workshop for nonprofits seeking ways to talk about the state and local budget crisis and key revenue solutions. With curriculum developed in partnership by the California Pan-Ethnic Health Network, CompassPoint Nonprofit Services, and the Building Movement Project – and led by fundraising trainer Kim Klein – Show Me the Money aims to help organizations learn about the role of taxes and participate in policy solutions by helping staff form their own opinions about the role of public funding and taxes.
This two-hour workshop is free of charge.
