Professional Advisor Seminar - Unrelated Business Income Tax and Alternative Investments: Practical Strategies to Manage Related Legal and Tax Issues

Join us to take a detailed look at a variety of issues related to UBIT and alternative investments (e.g., hedge funds, real estate, private equity and other non publicly traded investments). The speakers will discuss the legislative history and public policy connected to UBIT, provide examples of UBIT situations, and explain how UBIT from alternative investments can be addressed by an Investment Policy Statement. The program will also feature a panel discussion of recent legal developments related to UBIT and will conclude with a conversation about other tax issues that arise from alternative investments.

This presentation is geared to advisors who are working with clients who are currently or are considering deploying some of their charitable assets in alternative investments.

We are delighted to present the following speakers:

Erik Dryburgh - Silk, Adler & Colvin
Kathryn Hall - Hall Capital Partners LLC
John Panetta - WTAS
Howard Pearson - Stanford University
Professor Stephen Schwarz - UC Hastings College of Law
