Master Class in Social Media

Social media master class teachers.jpg

Social media is becoming increasingly important in engaging and keeping audiences for the arts. Encourage your marketing, development, and executive staff members to take part in a special one-day Master Class in Social Media conducted by noted social media experts Beth Kanter (author of The Networked Nonprofit), Geoff Livingston, and Devon Smith (author of the blog 24 Useable Hours).

The master class on Monday, April 18th is open to any arts organization, arts administrator, or artist in the Bay Area, and will cover winning strategies and tactics for arts organizations wishing to learn more about the best practices for social media. This is a great opportunity to learn from some of the masters of social media about a wide range of examples and case studies of effective use of social media by arts organizations and other nonprofits, understand the basics of designing an effective social media strategy, and share a wide range of practical tips and ideas for using social media tactics and tools to get results. Topics will include best practices in social media, developing a social media strategy, and how to measure return on investment in a social media world.

Learn more about the Master Class and register at www.theatrebayarea.org/socialmedia2011. Space is limited, sign up early - advanced registration is required. Attendance is $35 per person, with an optional lunch for $12.

This workshop is generously funded by the Wallace Foundation, Grants for the Arts, The San Francisco Foundation, the Hewlett Foundation, and the Koret Foundation.
