John Gutmann Exhibit: An Emigrant's Visual Discovery of a New World

An Evening Celebrating the Life and Work of John Gutmann

In addition to hosting an exhibition of John Gutmann's photography at the Jewish Community Library October 3, 2010 - December 16, 2010, the Bureau of Jewish Education will present a short movie and lecture on the internationally recognized photographer on Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

The evening will start with a film screening of the documentary My Eyes Were Fresh: The Life and Photographs of John Gutmann presented by filmmaker Jane Levy Reed. A reception and viewing of the exhibition will follow at 7:00 p.m. and then continue with a talk and presentation by Sally Stein, author of John Gutmann: The Photographer at Work.
