Funders Briefing: A New Way Forward for San Francisco Public School Students
Please join Program Officer Lisa Villarreal on Monday, May 24th for a San Francisco Education Funders Briefing, featuring the collaboration between the San Francisco School Alliance (SFSA) and the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) to create a new way forward for the 56,000 public school students in San Francisco.
Come meet SFSA’s new executive director, Terry Bergeson, who brings a wealth of public school expertise to our community, most recently as Washington State Superintendent. Terry will tell us about SFSA’s recent accomplishments, and share with us her vision and goals for SFSA’s future.
We will also be joined by SFUSD Deputy Superintendent Richard Carranza, who will review the data presented in the district’s first Annual Report to the Community, and lay out the district’s major initiatives and challenges for the 2010-2011 academic year.
RSVP to Barbara Bellissimo at barbara@sfschoolalliance.org.
