Please join The San Francisco Foundation FAITHS, Koshland, and Community Health Programs on Wednesday, June 30th to mark this historic moment and learn about the basics of health reform, its major provisions, and the timeline for implementation. Build your understanding of how health reform will impact your congregations, community, and constituents. Learn about next steps for implementation and identify ways you can promote healthcare for all Californians.
This briefing will address:
- Details of federal health reform
- Who is covered? Who isn’t?
- Implementation challenges and opportunities
Breakout sessions to include:
- Prevention-related provisions of national health reform
- Food security, access to healthy foods, and hunger prevention
- Immigrants and national health reform
